Weekend Trip #1
Chicago - Blading and Blues Weekend
This trip is now back on!
- Dates: June 5th - 8th, 2007
- Trip: Thursday – Sunday in Chicago for the Blues Festival and Blading on the Waterfront
- Accomodations: Roosevelt University Center in the Loop. If the trip is a go, rooms will be booked for
twelve at the Roosevelt University Center in downtown Chicago for Thursday, Friday and Saturday
nights, which is June 5th, 6th, and 7th. The room layouts are called quad, four-bedroom apartments.
This means you get a single bedroom with a bathroom shared between two bedrooms along with
a shared kitchen and full living room. Each bedroom is only suitable for one person (single bed).

- Accomodation Cost: Approximately $300 for 3 nights accommodation. I think if you do some net surfing you will
find that the accommodation value is not bad for what you are getting.
- Transportation Cost: Option A - Car pool via rented vehicles (less than $100 per person) or Option B, which is to drive to
Buffalo & fly (approx $200 per person). Transportation costs should be well under $100 each if we decide to rent vehicles.
- Skating Trails: The University Center is located in the heart of downtown in the Loop and
is also very close to the waterfront park system that contains a great series of blading trails.
- Trip Coordinator: Bill Henry
- Note from the Club Organizers: We are taking only twelve
people on this trip. If you are interested in going, you will
need to sign up early since the trip will be opened up to people from outside the club after FITS night.
So, don't delay. Sign up now! Three days of blading on the Chicago waterfront. After that some will
want to go sightseeing, dining, etc., while others will attend the Chicago Blues Festival,
which is probably the best blues festival on the planet.
June Special
