September Events
We've got three events planned for
the month of September. There's the annual trek to Port
Credit for the Southside Shuffle BluesFest and two days
of great skating. Come out and enjoy this weekend of activities.
It's a good time to share some stories with your
friends, quaff some ale, and enjoy some great music.
The Niagara Falls trip is also back for a second season.
This is a great opportunity to skate on some of the best trails in the province
and take in the nightlife in downtown Niagara Falls.

Weekend Trip #4
Blading and Blues Weekend in Port Credit
Our first special for September will be a weekend of blading and blues
music in Port Credit from Friday September 5th until Sunday September 7th.
This year we are encouraging the members to consider coming
out to Port Credit for the weekend. The organizers will be staying there for the weekend.
The organizers will be heading to Port Credit on Friday night and
staying at the Waterside hotel, which borders on Port Street. This is about
50 metres from the starting point for the rolls. If you want to
stay for the weekend, give Ernie a call and he will give you the
phone number for the hotel. You will have to make your own hotel
reservations.
Blading: We'll roll both Saturday and Sunday starting at 11:00 AM from
Port Credit. On Saturday we'll roll from Port Credit to Oakville and back,
while on Sunday we'll roll from Port Credit to Marie Curtis and back.
Blues: Friday night, Saturday afternoon, Saturday night, and Sunday
afternoon are set aside for the Southside Shuffle Blues Festival.
Weekend Trip #5
Second Annual Blading & Casino Weekend in Niagara Falls
- Dates: September 12th to 14th, 2007
- Accomodations: Two nights at the Best Western Fireside Inn in Niagara Falls
- Cost: Approx. $125 per person based on double occupancy.
- Sign-up: We are only taking 10 skaters, so sign up early!
- Blading: 10:00 AM start on both Saturday and Sunday
- Saturday Trail: Friendship Trail - Ridgeway to Port Colborne leg
- Sunday Trail: Niagara River Recreation Trail - Niagara-on-the-Lake

- Details: Two days of skating. The Niagara Route now has seven trails and more than 160 kilometres
of trails to choose from so we will pick the trail on the evening before each roll. The Niagara Region
now has some of the best inline skating trails in the province. Come out and enjoy the scenery
along the Niagara River Recreation, Friendship, and Welland Canal trails. There is also plenty
to see and do in Niagara Falls after the rolls including viewing the falls, picture taking, and
shopping, as well as dining, entertainment, and gambling at both the old and new casinos.
Should be a lot of fun!
