Sunday Rolls in July

Six rolls are scheduled for the month of July. We'll be heading to Hamilton Beach, Port Credit, Whitby-Oshawa, and the Friendship Trail in Ridgeway as part of our regular schedule.

In addition, we have a weekend trip to Ottawa where we'll roll both Saturday and Sunday.

Sunday July 6th

Great wide and flat trail!

Trail: Hamilton Beach to Stoney Creek

Departure Time: Car pool at the Islington subway parking lot at 12:30 PM

Roll Time: 1:30 PM

Directions by Car:

  1. Take Queen Elizabeth Way west to Burlington.
  2. Follow QEW Niagara at the 403/407 junction.
  3. Continue approximately 2 km to Eastport Dr., which is just before the Skyway.

  5. Cross the lift bridge.
  6. A very short distance after crossing the bridge there is parking on your left.
  7. Meet at the end of the parking lot, closest to the lift bridge.

Roll: We'll roll along the beach to Stoney Creek and back. The trail is approximately 18 kilometres round trip so we'll roll two legs for a combined distance of 36 kilometres. This is a wide trail with a flat, smooth surface and low traffic volume, which makes it excellent for striding and gliding practice, interval training, and sprinting.

Afterwards: To be determined on the day of the roll.
